Ingredients
  

  • Main Ingredients:
  • 1 block firm tofu pressed and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Vegetables:
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 red bell pepper finely chopped
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms finely chopped
  • Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Wrap Base:
  • Large lettuce leaves romaine, butter, or iceberg
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Chopped peanuts or cashews
  • Sesame seeds
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Chili flakes or sriracha

Instructions
 

  • Press tofu to remove excess moisture, then crumble into small pieces.
  • Heat sesame oil and olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add tofu and cook until lightly browned.
  • Add carrots, bell pepper, mushrooms, and green onions. Cook for 3–5 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, and garlic. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  • Spoon the tofu mixture into lettuce leaves.
  • Add toppings if desired and serve immediately.

  • Press tofu well for better texture and flavor absorption.
  • Cook tofu until slightly crispy for best results.
  • Chop vegetables finely for easy wrapping.
  • Use sturdy lettuce leaves to hold filling.
  • Adjust sauce to taste for balance of sweet and savory.
