- Main Ingredients:
- 1 block firm tofu pressed and crumbled
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Vegetables:
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 red bell pepper finely chopped
- 2 green onions chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms finely chopped
- Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 clove garlic minced
- Wrap Base:
- Large lettuce leaves romaine, butter, or iceberg
- Optional Toppings:
- Chopped peanuts or cashews
- Sesame seeds
- Fresh cilantro
- Chili flakes or sriracha
Press tofu to remove excess moisture, then crumble into small pieces.
Heat sesame oil and olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add tofu and cook until lightly browned.
Add carrots, bell pepper, mushrooms, and green onions. Cook for 3–5 minutes until softened.
Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, and garlic. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.
Spoon the tofu mixture into lettuce leaves.
Add toppings if desired and serve immediately.
