  • ½ cup almond butter
  • Filling Flavor
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

  • Chopped almonds
  • Coconut flakes

Instructions

  • Line a muffin tin with paper cupcake liners.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl melt the dark chocolate chips in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Spoon about 1 teaspoon melted chocolate into each liner and spread it evenly across the bottom.
  • Refrigerate the tray for 5–10 minutes to allow the chocolate base to set.
  • In a small bowl mix almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt until smooth.
  • Add about 1 teaspoon of the almond butter mixture on top of the set chocolate layer.
  • Cover the filling with another spoonful of melted chocolate.
  • Refrigerate the cups for 20–30 minutes until the chocolate shell is firm.
  • Remove from the liners and serve.

Notes

  • Use smooth almond butter for the creamiest filling.
  • Melt chocolate slowly to prevent burning or seizing.
  • Sprinkle sea salt or chopped almonds on top before the chocolate sets for extra flavor.
  • Store the cups chilled so the chocolate stays firm.
