Preparation

  • Start by washing your broccoli florets thoroughly. Drain and rinse the chickpeas.

Cooking

  • In a large wok or skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Toss in the broccoli and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes. You want it vibrant and slightly tender, but with a bit of crunch.
  • Next, fold in the chickpeas, stirring to combine everything well.
  • Add the soy sauce and sesame oil, stirring continuously for another 2-3 minutes. Ensure everything is well coated.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper. If you’re feeling fancy, top it off with sesame seeds for a delightful crunch.
  • Plate your stir fry and serve it hot.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider using high heat for cooking, avoid overcrowding the pan, and feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas.
