These Vegan Pizza Rolls are crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and packed with classic pizza flavor—without any dairy or meat. Made with store-bought pizza dough, melty vegan cheese, and savory veggie fillings, they’re perfect for snacks, parties, or an easy plant-based meal. Better than frozen and simple to make at home.

  • 1 lb vegan pizza dough store-bought or homemade
  • cups vegan mozzarella-style cheese shredded
  • ½ cup bell peppers finely diced
  • ½ cup mushrooms finely chopped
  • Flavor Base
  • ½ cup pizza sauce vegan-friendly
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Pantry Staples
  • 1 –2 tbsp olive oil for brushing
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: vegan pepperoni or plant-based sausage

Instructions
 

  • Prep
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle about ¼-inch thick.
  • Cut into 3×4-inch rectangles or squares.
  • Assemble
  • Spoon a small amount of pizza sauce onto each dough piece, leaving a border.
  • Add vegan cheese, vegetables, and optional vegan pepperoni.
  • Sprinkle lightly with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  • Roll & Bake
  • Roll each piece tightly into a log. Pinch seams and ends to seal.
  • Place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush lightly with olive oil.
  • Bake 14–18 minutes, until golden brown and crisp.
  • Finish
  • Cool 5 minutes before serving to let the filling set.

Notes

  • Don’t overfill—less filling prevents leaks.
  • Shredded vegan cheese melts best.
  • Sealing the edges tightly is key for neat rolls.
